The International

The international federation

With more than 350,000 members in 45 member organizations and partners in 35 countries, the international organization Friends of Nature is one of the largest non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the world.

Its primary objective is to work towards the sustainable development of society by:
– discovering and presenting natural and cultural heritage,
– promoting nature and culture as the foundation for the global, social, and equitable development of our society,
– implementing the right of all to a healthy environment and living conditions,
– developing respectful exchanges between men and women from different countries and regions, regardless of gender, origin, or color,
– practicing tourism that reconciles the interests of visitors and residents, respects the environment, and promotes the economic life of the regions concerned and their citizens.

The federation publishes a monthly e-newsletter to which anyone can subscribe.

Naturefriends International (NFI) is associated with Green 10, a platform of the ten largest European environmental federations, and works with them to improve the environment in European Union policy.

Its member associations

These are national organizations that recognize the goals and statutes of the International Friends of Nature.

The trips organized by the French federation are opportunities to meet their members and get to know each other better. Some manage facilities (houses, campgrounds, mountain refuges, etc.) that can accommodate you.

The International Naturefriends Newsletter provides regular updates on the activities of the international federation. It is distributed to all subscribers.
