Located on the GR5 long-distance hiking trail, at an altitude of 1070 meters near the Grand Brézouar parking area. Very quiet with a superb view of the Vosges mountains, the Val d'Argent valley, and Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.
This house is managed by the Friends of Nature association of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.
This chalet does not offer overnight accommodation but can welcome hikers passing through during the day.

From the Col des Bagenelles, access is via a 3.5 km forest road, not cleared of snow in winter.
