In the heart of the Haut Jura Regional Nature Park, it has retained a certain charm; an extension has recently been built to house a woodshed, a ski room, a workshop, etc. It is close to cross-country ski trails (Massacre trails) and downhill ski slopes (Darbella, Serra). Supplies can be purchased in Lamoura, 3 km away.
This chalet is managed by the Friends of Nature of Saint Claude.
